Health and Safety Induction for get-ins, fit-ups and get-outs

This one day course is designed to create a good health and safety culture within permanent and casual staff both residential and touring in the theatre industry. The course is based on training deemed necessary by a Code of Conduct agreed between TMA and BECTU.

The course aims to highlight the types of hazards associated with the work and inform of the safe working practices that must be adopted to minimise the risks. The syllabus includes the basic information that every worker should know about health and safety regulations, how to assess risk and specific training on subjects such as scenery flying, working at height and manual handling.
