Safe Working at Heights

Part 1 Half Day Course - Part 2 Half Day Course

Description: This course is aimed at those who have to work in conditions where they could have a fall causing significant injury, i.e. riggers, camera operators, technicians, scene hands etc.

The course is also aimed at those who may not actually do the work but manage work at height or carry out risk assessments for working at height.

Falls from height are the main cause of fatalities at work and the Safe Working at Height 2005 Regulations place specific duties on employers which include providing edequate training.

Most aspects of working at height are addressed including the use of ladders, scaffolds, mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPS/cherry pickers) and fall restrain/arrest equipment.

Part 1 is classroom based with some practical aspects and Part 2 is fully practical using a suitable structure such as a scaffold.
